USB-DI installation for Win 98SE

Windows 98 Second Edition was designed to be USB aware, but unlike XP and later, the specific hardware information and the drivers are not installed with the operating system and need to be loaded.

Please note this process is not required for XP and later. For those, it will be done automatically as soon as you connect the USB DI to the computer.
Also, you'll need your Windows 98SE CD ROM handy for this installation

So firstly, connect the USB DI or USB DI-VC to a free USB port on the computer. It will be automatically detected by the operating system.

A pop-up screen will show that Windows has found a USB Composite Device as new hardware to be added, while simultaneously searching for the driver.
